Dean Yacht Management offers technical services and guardinage for privately owned yachts in Göcek, Turkey.  We offer a wide range of services tailored to the needs of each yacht owner. Dean Yacht Management is run by husband and wife team: Nigel and Alex Dean. Having worked in the yachting industry since 1997, they have a wealth of experience and local knowledge.

Nigel Dean began his working life as a diesel mechanic in the 1980s. With his love of the outdoors and mountaineering he took a job as generator mechanic with British Antarctic Survey and spent 3 consecutive years “Down South” for which he was awarded the Polar Medal.

From there he travelled in South America until beginning work for the Isaac Newton Group of telescopes based in La Palma, Canary Islands.   It was here that he bought his yacht Penola and decided to change his direction.

Alex Dean worked in the structural and civil engineering industry after graduating from Loughborough University with a BEng in Civil Engineering. In 1997 she and Nigel decided to join forces and moved to Turkey to work for a charter company based in Bodrum.  From there they moved to Göcek in 1999 to manage the Top Yacht charter base until 2004, when they started Dean Yacht Management.

We look after your yacht

In our experience, every yacht and owner have their own particular needs and we tailor our services accordingly.

We will commission your yacht ready for the sailing season.  From deck and topsides polishing, hull antifouling, engine servicing, to rigging sails and system checks.  We’ll do our utmost to insure everything is ready for your arrival so that you have a trouble free cruise, even down to having the bunks made and fridges on. Whilst sailing we are on call 24/7 for any problems or advice if needed. Our goal being to maximise your use of your yacht and minimise down time at the beginning and end of your trip.

For those looking for a more extensive refit or improvements, we have experience fitting solar panels for improved battery charging, battery monitors for better battery management, full deck winter covers, new sails and rigging, canvas work repairs or renewal, engine replacement, fitting navigation instrumentation, hull painting, carpentry repairs or modifications and so much more.

Göcek and Marinas

Fantastic scenery and stunning bays

Göcek is in a beautiful location, surrounded by pine clad hills and the turquoise Mediterranean sea.  It’s easy to spend days going from bay to bay with beach side restaurants or eating on board with the caretta caretta turtles swimming around your yacht.

It is only half an hour drive from Dalaman International Airport and, with our services, you can be on board and sailing into the beautiful bays in no time.

As a popular sailing destination the village has many facilities for the yachtsman, including technical services, well stocked supermarkets and local restaurants.
